TMP System SW HW V3.4 & 3.6

GEOPHYSICS

Magnetometry

Description:

TMP was designed to operate along with FLUXE FL3-100 or compatible analog magnetometer. The working principle of this sensor is based on a detection coil used also as a compensation coil. The generated magnetic field raises until the outer field in sensor core is fully compensated. This compensation current is a direct measurement of outer field and is read as a voltage. The TMP digitizes the voltage variations and converts them into data which are sent to the processing base for its further interpretation.

This magnetometry methodology is based on the use of these devices that measure surrounding magnetic field variations originated by magma rising in volcanic sources. In the new equipment SW HW TMP 3.8 this application (MG) is replaced by Volcanic Station (EV).
